Darien Rowayton Bank will be show casing the artwork of local artist, Vicki French Smith during the month of May. The Bank invites the public to view her artwork at its location at 1001 Post Road in Darien.

Vicki French Smith is an artist and faculty member at the Darien Arts Center in Connecticut, an award winning oil painter and watercolorist, graduate of Miami University who has also studied at the Yard School of Art, Ducret University, Center for Visual Arts and Silvermine School of Art. 

Vicki creates plein air landscapes and seascapes in watercolor, oil and monotypes. Her work has been viewed in Boutiques along the New Jersey Shore, libraries, private collections and various galleries. Smith has served on the board of Silvermine Guild Arts Center, co-president of Fairfield Plein Air Painters and a member of the Rowayton Arts Center.  Her latest studies of landscapes have been in the Loire Valley, Provence and Normandy, France - Lake Como and Tuscany, Italy. You may also see her in PBS’ new series “Landscape through Time with David Dunlap.
