On behalf of The Darien Historical Society, Board Member Charlotte Armstrong accepts a check from Darien Rowayton Bank to help underwrite the society’s third major costume exhibit, “Stepping Out In The Jazz Age”, which will open on Sunday, October 14th and run through February 28, 2013. The exhibit will be staged in the Scofield Barn and showcase mannequins in costumes from the Society’s treasured collection commemorating the extraordinary Jazz Age of the 1920’s.
Babs White, who will celebrate her forty second year with the Society this fall, will again be the curator. A Champagne Preview is being planned for Friday, October 12th and during the run of the exhibit, the Society will also host ladies’ luncheons and Ladies’ Night Out events featuring talks by curator Babs White.
